Isn't there some wiimote pistol grip attachments too? That would bridge the gap even more, though I'm sure those guns have superior quality. I figured it would be cheaper to get a Wiimote, but I didn't think it would be that cheap. just dont have the money at the moment.********* ******NOTE, i never tried getting a wii controller to work on the pc yet, though i do intend to. Where as a lightgun is pretty much dedicated to lightgun games.

If there were a couple more light gun games worth having on the PC I would definitely get the gun. I'm not sure if I should rather invest in a Wiimote, since it would be more compatible things that aren't light gun games :D

but i have never seen a desire for anyone to write a driver for this, and when brought up in various places you are mocked for even wanting to do this at best with a pound sand as the normal response. but again, 70$ is the minimum for a kit even on sale and thats a bit much sight unseen for me.Īnd finally, what would be the best, but most unlikely, is getting the usb guncon 3, that has usb lights, to work on the pc. Than there is also buying a lightgun from one of those places. once i know it works, i would probably either cut a hole in the guncon i have thats broke (as in never worked) and mount the wii mote there, and make the motes trigger connecte to the gunscons trigger for a better feelĪnother way that is "guaranteed" to work on the pc is if i get a lightgun insides from a chinese retailer (something i would love to avoid) for 30-50$, and than fit it into the light gun shell and work with that. Im thinking the wii mote on the pc being the easiest way to go, and testing wouldn't require me to do any time consuming work before i know if everything works. I am able to solder and "mod" things so here are my thoughts So getting something i already have to work is the preferable way to do this. The lightgun that the devs are recommending is over 100$, and i just can't justify that price on something i can't try in person and wont get used outside of niche settings. or getting what i currently have to work with the pc.

I have wanted to play a light gun game for ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ years but since i have no crts that work with guncons anymore, and the ps3 light gun game wasn't nowhere near what i wanted, i have been looking into various light guns for the pc. I have a guncon 3, several wii controllers, and i believe a somewhat broken guncon 1.
